In a grand jeté the initiating leg is thrown to 90º which is immediately followed by a similar throwing of the supporting leg, thus creating the image of an arabesque or attitude suspended in mid-air. Dancers work hard to achieve this full split in mid-air and it is very much a "wow" leap when the split is achieved. Some dancers can even get an over split when they do a grand jeté taking that wow factor up a

If you happen to have a kid who is super energetic then a Ballet/Tap combo classes would be a great choice. Ballet/Tap classes are a great for kids with high energy because they get a full hour of dance, but they get two different dance styles in one hour. This is also good because younger kids often have short attention spans so spending 30 mins on ballet and then 30 mins on tap is a great break of the hour.

The Vaganova method is a method of teaching classical ballet that was developed by Agrippina Vaganova over one hundred years ago as an effort to reform the old imperial style of ballet teaching practiced in Russia at that time. This is an old tradition from the Russian schools and maintains the age old femininity of the female ballet dancer. The look over all is very clean looking and put together, it is a staple of the Vaganova Method. The ribbons also offer support to the ankle, as they would on a pointe shoe and can help strengthen the ankles, while giving

Children’s dance education can begin as early as the age of two at some studios; however, we prefer to start kids off at age three.  We feel this is when the child has their motor skills down and are able to participate in a dance class. Our Ballet Preparatory Division begins with Ballet Prep I ages 3-4 and focuses on the ability to follow directions, respect for authority figures, peer cooperation, self confidence and overcoming fears as well as basic motor skills and mind/body awareness, musicality and
