Academy Policies, Payment,
Make-ups, and Cancelation
Tuition payments are based on the school year program and the summer program. Payments can be made by major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express). Credit card payments can be processed during office hours, online, or via telephone. Tuition and all other fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; these include but are not limited to registration, tuition, master classes, costume fees, uniform fees, production fees, ensemble fees, recital and showcase fees, summer programs, summer classes, summer intensives, performance events, and school-sponsored events.
CCDA offers two sessions:
Summer Intensive Session 2019: July 8th through July 26th
Academic Session 2018 – 2019: August 6th through June 28th
Session MAY be prorated for students who start after the beginning of the initial start date.

Please note late registration after June 1st will not be eligible for a payment plan, and tuition for the SI must be paid in full.
Please note if you wish to withdrawal you must submit a withdraw form by the 15th of the month or you will be subject to charges until the withdraw form is received. Please read below for more information on withdrawing.

Families with more than one child will receive a family discount off the second child’s tuition (discount applies to the lower tuition and only to siblings).

ENROLLED STUDENTS TUITION
We have a very fair policy regarding our payment for tuition and subsequent assessment of late fees. Payments are due on or before the 1st of the month via autopay. Your credit card on file will be charged the 1st of the month unless a withdraw is received by the 15th of the month prior. Please scroll down on this page to read the guidelines on withdrawing from the academy. If you would like to drop a class on your schedule but remain enrolled in another class, this also must be done on or before the 15th of the month, so your account can be adjusted. A grace period of five consecutive days will be honored. Cards that are declined or we are unable to charge must be replaced ASAP, if they are not updated by the 5th of the month the account will be charged a $35 late fee regardless of reason. Tuition is based on a 10-month academic program (August through June). Tuition is due regardless of class attendance or holiday schedule. Invoices will not be sent via USPS or email unless the account is severely past due and numerous attempts to contact you have been unsuccessful. Accounts must be current before the start of the first class of each tuition due date, for a student to participate in class(es).
DECLINED CREDIT CARD
Please remember that the 1st of every month is when we charge tuition on the card we have on file at the studio. This is the card in your profile on The Studio Director, which you can access by logging in here: The Studio Director This very important to keep your card updated and inform us of any changes. There will be a $10 fee added to your account for any cards that are declined.
The quality of our facility and faculty depends upon a system of mutual respect and cooperation. We understand that anyone may make a late payment from time to time, but please be respectful of our late fee policy and note that any student with an overdue balance will not be permitted to take the class until the balance is paid.
INFORMATION ON MAKE-UPS
CCDA does not allow pro-rating of classes for absences or holidays. If a class is canceled due to an Instructor absence, we will offer a make-up class. We do not offer make-ups for holidays since the annual rate does not include holidays. Even though we permit monthly tuition payments and our families can pay monthly, the tuition rates are based on a yearly (12 month, (44 week) tuition scale which includes CCDA being closed certain holidays of the year. CCDA will follow, in most cases, the Natomas School District schedule and the Sacramento City Unified School District Schedule as much as possible. Regardless of the length of the month, tuition remains the same. Unlike many other studios, we don’t charge for the “fifth” class in any given month, and because of this, there are a few days each month, on a rotating basis, where a class ends up being free! Please keep in mind that during the course of the year, the same tuition each month not only allows CCDA to offer a substantial discount but also a lot of options and conveniences and extra classes you otherwise wouldn’t have. We do not allow pro-rating of tuition unless we cancel a regularly scheduled class and no make-ups are available. Please note that make-ups do not apply to unlimited students because they can take as many classes as they choose monthly.
When your child is absent due to illness, family emergency, or another serious obligation your child has the option to make up the missed class in another class of the same discipline, or another class if approved by the director. Making up a class is optional, but CCDA does not refund for missed classes. Ballet Academic division students may make-up a missed class in the level immediately below or at their level. Please make sure to schedule your child’s make-ups before attending the class as it is based on space availability. Please note that make-ups must be made during the same month the absent happened, makes-ups cannot be rolled over. A maximum of 2 make-ups a month will be permitted based on the reasons mentioned above, more than that will be subject to approval pending circumstance.
Make-ups can no longer be done in advance; they must take place after the absence.
WITHDRAWING FROM THE ACADEMY: CANCELATION
Withdraws must be done through our Withdraw Form and received by the 15th of the month prior to withdrawing. For example, if you wish to withdraw for March, we must receive your withdrawal form by February 15th. Students are considered enrolled in the academy until they are withdrawn. Just not showing up to class does not withdrawal you from the academy. The yearly recital does not end your enrollment, the end of the session does not end enrollment. Enrollment ends when the student is withdrawn, and this is done through our withdraw form. If you fail to cancel your enrollment, you will continue to be billed, and delinquent accounts will be sent to collections. It is easy to cancel if you need to ask for the form at the front desk. Withdraws will not be accepted over the phone, or via email, you must come into the studio. Payment is required on each payment due date until withdraw form is received. Failure to submit a withdrawal form by the 15th will incur a charge to your credit card for the following month until withdraw is submitted. Please note that withdrawing from the academy cancels your yearly registration and if you re-enrolled at a later date you would have to pay the registration fee again. CCDA does not “freeze” accounts to hold spots.
